‘DTF St. Louis’ Wins Emmy for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series

DTF St. Louis was victorious at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, winning Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series at Monday’s ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Showrunner Steven Conrad accepted the award on behalf of the cast with a short speech, thanking those who worked on the show.

HBO’s DTF St. Louis stars Jason Bateman, David Harbour, and Linda Cardellini as a trio in a bizarre love triangle that leads to death and a murder investigation. The series scored 13 nominations at this year’s Emmys, including for its three principal actors as well as for supporting actors Richard Jenkins and Joy Sunday.

DTF St. Louis was seen as the favorite entering in this category heading into the Emmys, as the show won six awards — including Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie and Outstanding Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, and Harbour and Cardellini both scored their first-ever Emmy wins for their respective roles in the series — at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards in the weeks before the Primetime Emmy ceremony on Monday.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay hosted the Emmys live from the Peacock Theater. The Pitt was the most nominated series of the night, followed by Hacks, Widow’s Bay, and Beef.
