Gracie Abrams made a major leap forward with her sophomore album, 2024’s The Secret Of Us, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and yielded the Top 20 pop singles “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “That’s So True.” Today, Abrams has announced the July 17 release of her third album, Daughter From Hell, an eagerly awaited collection of songs she wrote with producer Aaron Dessner, her main collaborator on both previous LPs.

“I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since Gracie and I started making songs together,” said Dessner in a statement. “I’m deeply grateful for every song we have made and the way we have kept challenging ourselves and growing together, sometimes hitting the wall, and then pushing and breaking through.”

Dessner and Abrams began working on Daughter From Hell two years ago. They recorded at his Long Pond Studio in Hudson Valley, New York, as well as in London and at New York City’s famed Electric Lady Studios.

“You’ll hear us expanding our musical vocabulary and pushing into uncharted waters sonically, and most of all the sharpening and deepening of Gracie’s lyricism in ways that continue to astound me,” Dessner said. “This album contains absolutely the most moving and powerful work we have done together and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”
