Filmmaker SS Rajamouli shared his review of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, calling it a step ahead of its predecessor in both scale and emotional depth. Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, the film continues to receive widespread praise as it enjoys a strong run at the box office.

On Saturday, Rajamouli shared his thoughts about the film on Instagram Story. He highlighted the film’s writing, performances and technical brilliance, while also appreciating its emotional core.

"I loved Dhurandhar-1, but The Revenge surpassed the original in both scale and soul... But it's the emotional stakes that really ground it (sic)," he wrote.

He further praised Aditya Dhar’s vision, noting that the filmmaker delivered beyond expectations and successfully kept audiences engaged despite the film’s lengthy runtime. Rajamouli also lauded the storytelling for its gripping twists and emotional tension, describing the film as a bold cinematic achievement.

"It takes guts to make and release a film 4 hours long. The audience is glued to the seat till the last frame (sic)," he added.

Rajamouli was particularly impressed with Ranveer Singh’s performance, calling it a "masterclass in acting" and highlighting key emotional moments in the film.

He also appreciated R Madhavan for effectively portraying the helplessness and frustration of a nation, adding that the actor’s performance resonated deeply with viewers.

Concluding his review, Rajamouli congratulated the entire team for the film’s "resounding success".
