Samsung has finally released its next-gen flagship series -- the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. The company has launched 3 phones: The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. But this is not it. The much anticipated slim variant of the series was also teased during the launch-- the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a flat design and two rear cameras. Apart from this, all the other details are still under wraps for the Edge. At a starting price of Rs 80,999, the series comes with enhanced features over its predecessor. The Galaxy AI is one of the standout features. For instance, the series is the first one to come with Gemini as its default AI assistant, something which was only exclusive for Google phones. Let's delve deeper to find out more about these upgrades.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series AI-features

Gemini AI assistant: This is not the first time that Google's Gemini has been integrated into any of the Samsung phones, but it is the first time that the Gemini is the default AI assistant of the series. It has already enabled users to perform several tasks across apps like YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, and Spotify. But now, with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, Gemini expands its capabilities to integrate with Samsung apps, including Samsung Calendar, Notes, Reminder, and Clock.

Users can now use Gemini to handle multiple tasks in a single prompt. For instance, if you need high-protein lunch ideas, you can ask Gemini for recipes and save them directly to Samsung Notes or Google Keep.

To make Gemini even more accessible on Galaxy S25 devices, simply long-press the side button to summon it for assistance or to interact with content on your screen. Additionally, for Advanced users, access to Deep Research in the Gemini mobile app will begin rolling out later this week, offering a powerful tool to save time on research, even while on the move.

Gemini Live: Gemini Live now offers an even more dynamic conversational experience, enabling users to engage in natural, free-flowing chats while incorporating images, files, and YouTube videos into their conversations.

This enhanced version of Gemini Live is being rolled out to the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S25 series, as well as Pixel 9 devices. Furthermore, Google plans to introduce Project Astra features, including screen sharing and live video streaming, to the Gemini mobile app on Android and the Samsung Galaxy S25 in the coming months.

Circle to Search: This Google AI-feature was first introduced in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. And now with the new series in town, Samsung seeks to take it up a notch. The feature will now automatically identify phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs, making it easier for users to interact with them. Additionally, AI Overviews in search results have been enhanced to support a wider range of visual search queries. This increases the likelihood that using Circle to Search on an image of a location, artwork, or object will produce an AI Overview in the results.

Briefs: A standout feature is the Brief tool, which provides personalised daily summaries. The morning brief includes the weather forecast, your schedule for the day, and an energy score if you're using a Samsung wearable. During your commute, it automatically initiates navigation and plays music when you get into your vehicle. In the evening, it offers a summary of your day, highlighting key activities and showcasing memorable moments through photo collages.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is available for pre-order beginning January 23, 2025, through all major online and offline retailers. Customers can also pre-order directly on Samsung’s official India website. The devices are set to go on sale starting February 7, 2025.
