Dominic trailer: Mammootty turns detective for Gautham Menon's thriller film

After Bazooka, Mammootty is set to take on the role of a detective in his upcoming film, Dominic and The Ladies Purse. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, this comedy-investigative thriller marks their first collaboration.

Malayalam superstar Mammootty shared the trailer on his X handle on Wednesday. According to the one-minute-thirty-second trailer, the story follows a detective who begins by investigating the owner of a purse, only to uncover a deeper case involving missing persons.

The clip opens with Mammootty's character greeting someone with, "Welcome to Dominic Detective Agency." As he delves into his first case, Gokul Suresh's character asks how he manages to solve them. Dominic responds by emphasising the importance of his detective skills, which rely on focus and keen observation.

A few moments into the trailer, a twist unfolds as Viji Venkatesh's character urges Dominic to track down the owner of a ladies’ purse. What initially starts as a simple search for a missing purse soon evolves into a case involving two missing individuals.

Dominic and the Ladies Purse is backed by Mammootty's Mammootty Kampany. Gokul Suresh, Lena, Siddique, Vijay Babu and Viji Venkatesh are part of the supporting cast. The screenplay is written by Neeraj Rajan, Sooraj Rajan and Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Mammootty's Dominic and The Ladies Purse will release in cinemas worldwide on January 23, 2025.
