SRK praises Tanvi The Great trailer, applauds Anupam Kher for always taking chances

Actor Shah Rukh Khan has expressed his support for Anupam Kher's upcoming film, 'Tanvi The Great'. King Khan shared the film's trailer with a note on X and appreciated Kher's courage for taking bold creative steps in his career and life.

"To my friend @AnupamPKher who has always taken chances whether it’s acting, filmmaking or life!! The trailer of 'Tanvi The Great' is looking awesome. All the best on this journey!! (sic)," SRK wrote on X.

The film, which is directed, written and produced by Kher, is a story about a young girl with autism who dreams of joining the Indian Army. Several Bollywood celebrities have shown their support for the film online.

"Some stories stay with you long after the screen fades to black 'Tanvi The Great' is one of them. Watch the trailer now – it’s powerful, heartfelt, and deeply inspiring, all my prayers and luck for the success of this labour of love from @AnupamPKher (sic)," Anil Kapoor wrote on X while sharing the trailer.

To which Kher responded, "Thank you mere pyare dost @AnilKapoor for your love and truthfulness appreciation. You are a great support system. Most of the time as a friend! And sometimes as a guide too! (sic)," he wrote.

Speaking at the trailer launch event, Anupam Kher shared that he drew inspiration from his niece, Tanvi, who is autistic. Recalling the memory that sparked the idea, Kher said, “Four years ago, at a family wedding in Gurgaon, I asked Tanvi what she was looking at. She replied, ‘I am looking at my world.’ That line stayed with me. I didn’t quite understand what her world was, and that thought became the seed of this film.”

The film marks the debut of Shubhangi in the titular role, and features an ensemble cast including Jackie Shroff, Pallavi Joshi, Arvind Swami, and Karan Tacker. The music has been composed by Oscar-winning MM Keeravani.

Scheduled for a theatrical release on July 18, 'Tanvi The Great' promises to be a moving tale of dreams, resilience, and the power of inclusion.
