During the success meet of Ram Charan's Peddi, director Buchi Babu Sana addressed the growing speculation surrounding a possible collaboration with actor Mahesh Babu. Though he stopped short of confirming whether the project is actually in the works, rumours around the potential film are growing on social media.

Speaking at the success event held in Hyderabad, Buchi Babu was asked about reports claiming he has been in discussions with Mahesh Babu and has already narrated a script to the actor. While the filmmaker acknowledged the buzz, he chose to keep his cards close to his chest.

When a reporter specifically asked about rumours of a mythological film with Mahesh, Buchi Babu replied, "Let's wait for the right time. Elders are here. Time will decide anything."

The response neither confirmed nor dismissed the speculation, leaving room for further curiosity among fans.

Reports of a potential collaboration between the two have been circulating for several months. Even before the release of Peddi, industry chatter suggested that preliminary discussions had taken place. Following the film's release and commercial success, the rumours have only gained momentum.

For now, however, no official announcement has been made regarding the project.

Mahesh Babu is currently occupied with his upcoming film directed by SS Rajamouli. The ambitious globe-trotting action adventure, titled Varanasi, is expected to release worldwide on April 7 next year. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

With Mahesh yet to announce his next project after the Rajamouli film, several filmmakers have been linked to the actor. Names such as Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Sukumar have frequently surfaced in industry discussions, and Buchi Babu has now joined that list.

Meanwhile, Buchi Babu Sana is basking in the success of Peddi. Headlined by Ram Charan, the sports drama has crossed Rs 400 crore at the global box office and earned over Rs 200 crore nett in India. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in key roles.
