Randeep Hooda joins John Cena and Sam Hargrave's Matchbox, to shoot in Budapest

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda will collaborate with John Cena for his next Hollywood project. Directed by Sam Hargrave, the film is titled Matchbox.

Actor Randeep Hooda is gearing up to star in a Hollywood project, alongside actor and wrestler John Cena. Titled Matchbox, the action film is being helmed by celebrated filmmaker Sam Hargrave.

Matchbox marks Randeep Hooda’s second collaboration with Sam Hargrave after the roaring success of Extraction (2020), where he captivated audiences worldwide with his intense portrayal of Saju.

In a statement, Randeep Hooda shared, "Excited to be working with Sam again. We had a great time on our first collaboration with Extraction. Sam is a master of high-octane storytelling and action. Glad to be joining the team in Budapest".

Sam Hargrave, on the other hand, is best known for directing Extraction 1 and 2. He is also the genius behind stunts and action in films, including Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War, Thor-Ragnarok, Suicide Squad amongst many others.

Matchbox is being produced by Mattel films, Skydance films and is an Apple Original. The film is being filmed in Budapest.

Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda is currently filming for Jaat. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, co-starring with Sunny Deol and produced by the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Mythri Movie Makers, and People Media Factory, Jaat will hit theatres on April 10.
