Actor Triptii Dimri has seen a significant rise in her career with her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, Animal. Despite receiving some criticism, Triptii remains unfazed. In a recent interview, she expressed that she is unaffected by the negative feedback after the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer and Vicky Kaushal's Bad Newz.
In an interview with Forbes India, Triptii spoke about the scrutiny she faced for her roles in Animal and Bad Newz. She stated that she doesn't regret her choices, emphasising her commitment to giving her best to every character she finds interesting. Triptii remarked, “I am someone who wants to give 100 percent. If I find the character or the story interesting, I want to give my all. That’s what I’ve learned—if it works, it works, and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. We won’t always be liked by everybody. There will be some people who like you, and some who don’t."
When asked about moving away from her “overtly sexualised” image, Triptii denied any deliberate attempt. She mentioned that her goal is to explore diverse roles to keep herself challenged and satisfied as an actor. She said, “You can’t keep all that noise in mind. You have to follow your heart and do things that you feel are right. Tomorrow, you may look back and think it was a mistake, but in that moment, you were being truthful."
Triptii also discussed her reason for choosing the role of Zoya in Animal and Vidya in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. She wanted to try something different with these roles. She said, "I am going with the flow. The aim is to play different characters because I don’t want to go to a set and feel bored. I don’t want to show up and think, ‘I know this.’ I want to feel challenged, to wonder, ‘How will this happen?’—and then make it happen. I need to feel satisfied as an actor when I go home."
Meanwhile, Triptii is now focusing on Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara, which will feature Shahid Kapoor instead of Kartik Aaryan. Additionally, she is set to begin filming for Dharma Productions’ Dhadak 2, alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi, under the direction of Shazia Iqbal.
