Pati Patni... box office Day 4: Film sees sharp Monday dip after steady weekend

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do posed Rs 3.25 crore on its first Monday after a steady opening weekend. The 58.1 per cent fall took its four-day India nett total to Rs 20.75 crore and worldwide gross to Rs 28.84 crore.

After recording steady growth over its opening weekend, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do saw a sharp drop at the box office on its first Monday. The Mudassar Aziz directorial, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi, reportedly registered a 58.1 per cent fall in collections on Day 4.

According to a report by Sacnilk, the comedy-drama earned Rs 3.25 crore on Monday across 5,563 shows. The film had opened with Rs 4 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 5.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 7.75 crore on Sunday.

Box office performance so far

With Monday’s collection, the film’s total India gross collection has reached Rs 24.84 crore, while its India nett collection stands at Rs 20.75 crore.

In the overseas market, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do earned an estimated Rs 0.75 crore on Day 4, taking its overseas gross collection to Rs 4 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at approximately Rs 28.84 crore.

In its review of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, India Today wrote, "Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is not great cinema. It is not groundbreaking, unforgettable or emotionally layered. But it is enjoyable enough, consistently watchable and powered by an actor who has clearly returned to his strongest zone. That is enough for a casual Friday movie outing."

The film released in theatres on May 15.
