Pati Patni Aur...box office Day 3: Comedy-drama wraps 1st weekend with Rs 24 crore

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do posed a stronger Sunday at the box office after a steady opening weekend. The film earned Rs 21 crore over the first weekend.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi, continued its steady run at the box office over its opening weekend despite receiving mixed reactions from audiences. The film recorded growth of over 34 per cent on its first Sunday (Day 3) compared with Saturday (Day 2), although its early numbers remained below those of the first instalment led by Kartik Aaryan.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film opened with Rs 4 crore on Day 1 and showed slight growth on Day 2, earning Rs 5.75 crore. According to Sacnilk, it collected an estimated Rs 7.75 crore net on Day 3 across 6,350 shows.

With its first three days complete, the film's total India gross collection has reached around Rs 21 crore, while its total India nett collection stands at approximately Rs 17.50 crore.

Overseas and worldwide collections

In overseas markets, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do earned an estimated Rs 1.25 crore net on Day 3, taking its total overseas gross collection to around Rs 3.25 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at approximately Rs 24.25 crore.

In comparison, the 2019 hit Pati Patni Aur Woh, starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday, had posed stronger box office numbers. On its third day, the film collected Rs 14.51 crore in India, taking its three-day total to Rs 35.94 crore. Also directed by Mudassar Aziz, the earlier film had earned Rs 9.10 crore on Day 1 and Rs 12.33 crore on Day 2.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do was released in theatres on May 15.
