Composer Devi Sri Prasad reunites with Nagarjuna for King100 after Kuberaa

The makers of Nagarjuna Akkineni's milestone 100th film, King100, have announced that National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad will score the music for the project. The announcement was made on Sunday to coincide with the composer's 47th birthday, with Annapurna Studios unveiling a special poster welcoming him to the film.

The update also marks the reunion of Nagarjuna and DSP after several successful collaborations. The actor-composer duo had previously worked together on Manmadhudu, Mass and King, films whose soundtracks went on to become popular among audiences. With DSP returning for Nagarjuna's 100th film, fans are hoping the pair can recreate the musical success of their earlier collaborations.

The announcement comes weeks after Tabu confirmed that shooting for King100 had commenced. The actor shared a picture of the film's clapboard on social media, signalling the start of production and marking her on-screen reunion with Nagarjuna after nearly three decades. The two were last seen together in the 1996 romantic drama Ninne Pelladata, one of Telugu cinema's most celebrated love stories.

Backed by Annapurna Studios, King100 marks an important milestone in Nagarjuna's career as his 100th film in a leading role. With DSP now confirmed as the music director, the project has reunited another familiar creative partnership from the actor's filmography.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie, alongside Rajinikanth, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Sathyaraj and Shobana. DSP, on the other hand, continues to remain one of the busiest composers in Indian cinema, working across Telugu and Tamil films. The makers are expected to announce additional details about King100, including its remaining cast and release plans, in the coming months.
