Vivek Agnihotri cheers Hanuman Ansh director as film crosses Rs 150 crore

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has congratulated Hanuman Ansh director Vishal Chaturvedi as the spiritual drama crossed the Rs 150-crore mark at the Indian box office. Agnihotri shared a warm message for Chaturvedi on X, celebrating the film's unexpected success.

Sharing his post on September 7, Agnihotri wrote, "Dearest @filmervishal. Meri khushi ki koi seema nahin. Ashirwad. Blessings. Duayein. Hamesha. Prasann raho, swasth raho aur buland raho. Baaki sab ishwar ki kripa (My happiness knows no bounds. Blessings. Blessings. Prayers. Forever. Stay content, stay healthy, and rise high. Everything else is by God's grace)."

The Kashmir Files director had earlier praised Chaturvedi's work when he shared the trailer of Hanuman Ansh on X in July. Calling Chaturvedi a "fantastic storyteller", he wrote, "A fantastic storyteller @filmervishal has made a brilliant film about an extraordinary saint Neeb Karori Baba. #HanumanAnsh Watch the trailer and do not miss the film on 31st July."

Hanuman Ansh crosses Rs 150 crore

Hanuman Ansh crossed the Rs 150-crore mark in India on its 32nd day in theatres. According to trade website Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 9.50 crore nett on its fifth Monday, taking its India gross collection to Rs 155.65 crore and nett collection to Rs 131.63 crore.

The latest milestone came a day after the film recorded its biggest single-day collection since its release. On Day 31, the film earned Rs 22.75 crore nett.

Its strong fifth-week performance has been notable, particularly because the film had a modest start at the box office. Positive word of mouth and growing interest in its spiritual subject have helped it maintain its run in theatres.

The film was reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 2 crore and initially had a slow start. However, its collections grew in the following weeks as more viewers discovered it.

The film's theatrical run will now expand to international markets. Hanuman Ansh is scheduled to release overseas on September 11.

The film is based on the life of spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba. It stars Shobhinaw Satyaa in the lead and has been written, directed and produced by Vishal Chaturvedi.
