Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan's parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, have decided to reunite in their old age after decades apart. She described the reunion as a significant family moment for her and her sister, Karisma. The actor's parents never divorced despite living separately, maintaining mutual respect.

In a recent interview with Mojo Story, Kareena opened up about her parents' decision to reunite. "Everyone’s parents are the best parents in the world. And my parents are the best parents in the world. Now, they have decided to just spend their old age holding hands together because that’s where their journey started, and that’s exactly where they are together," she said.

The 'Jab We Met' actor views this as a divine intervention in their family journey. She said, "That is something that has come full circle for Karisma and me. It’s like a divine kind of intervention. Individually, I think both of them have been wonderful because my father has always supported whatever I wanted to do in my life. They were very supportive."

Kareena then talked about her mother's influence in their lives and added, "When Karisma joined films, she was the only Kapoor girl who technically started the journey in movies. It was our mother, Babita, who played the role of a primary parent and did her best of whatever she could.”

Randhir Kapoor and Babita's relationship dates back to their early days in the film industry. The couple first met while working on films like 'Kal Aaj Aur Kal' and subsequently fell in love. However, differences over career choices led to Babita stepping away from acting after their marriage. This decision marked the beginning of challenges in their relationship.

In 1988, Babita decided to separate from Randhir and moved out with her daughters, Kareena and Karisma. Despite their separation, the couple never filed for divorce. They were often seen together at family events, maintaining cordial relations over the years.

On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor will be seen in Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film 'Daayra' alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran.
