Jennifer Lopez turned heads at the opening night of the Broadway play Good Night, and Good Luck at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York on April 3. The 55-year-old singer and actor made a striking entrance in a white caftan cape with oversized shoulder detailing before unveiling a form-fitting black floor-length gown with a plunging V-cut neckline.

Lopez accessorised her strapless velvet gown with a matching black clutch, a pair of drop earrings, and a black-and-gold jewelled necklace. Several rings adorned her fingers, while her sleek, straightened hair with a middle part added a sophisticated touch to the look.

According to the Us Weekly report, Lopez attended the event in support of her former Out of Sight co-star, George Clooney, who made his Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck. The stage adaptation of the 2005 film, which Clooney directed and starred in, follows CBS journalist Edward R Murrow’s 1954 expose on Senator Joseph McCarthy. In the film, Clooney portrayed producer Fred Friendly, but in the Broadway version, he now plays the lead role of Murrow.

The star-studded event saw several celebrities in attendance, including Cindy Crawford, Hugh Jackman, Uma Thurman, Kylie Minogue, and Jim Parsons. Clooney also received support from his former ER co-stars Julianna Margulies and Anthony Edwards, who reunited at the event. Other notable guests included Pierce Brosnan, Monica Lewinsky, Richard Kind, and Matthew Rhys.

Lopez’s appearance at the premiere follows her recent divorce from Ben Affleck. The couple, who originally met in 2001 on the set of Gigli, rekindled their romance in 2021 and got married in July 2022. However, the couple later divorce in January this year.

Good Night, and Good Luck marks Clooney’s first Broadway role, and the premiere attracted significant attention from Hollywood and theatre enthusiasts alike.
