Kangana Ranaut's Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata and Diljit Dosanjh's Main Vaapas Aaunga were released in theatres on June 12, with both films posting a lukewarm start at the box office. On Day 2, Kangana's film remained behind Diljit's romance drama in overall collections. While Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata earned Rs 2.93 crore gross in India so far, Main Vaapas Aaunga collected Rs 3.60 crore gross.

As both films continued their theatrical run, Main Vaapas Aaunga maintained its lead in both gross and net figures. Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata earned a net collection of Rs 1.45 crore across 1,956 shows on its second day, according to box office tracker Sacnilk. This brought its cumulative domestic gross to Rs 2.93 crore, with total net collections in India standing at Rs 2.45 crore so far.

Meanwhile, Main Vaapas Aaunga registered a net collection of Rs 1.85 crore across 2,152 shows on its second day, according to the report. With this, its cumulative domestic gross has climbed to Rs 3.60 crore, while its total net collections in India have reached Rs 3 crore so far.

About Main Vaapas Aaunga

Main Vaapas Aaunga also features Naseeruddin Shah and Sanjay Suri in key roles. The film follows a 95-year-old man who suffers a stroke while trying to rush to Pakistan. As he drifts in and out of recollection, his grandson pieces together fragments from a pre-Partition past, even as the old man struggles to find peace in his final days.

A story about 26/11 events

In Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, Kangana portrays a staff nurse, one of the healthcare workers who emerged as unsung heroes during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The film aims to highlight the courage, resilience and dedication of hospital employees who continued to serve patients during one of the country's darkest moments.

The film also features Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte, Rasika Aghase, Aditya Mishra and Zahid Khan in key roles.
