Blake Lively's team reacts to Justin Baldoni's leaked video from It Ends With Us

Actor Blake Lively's team has reacted to a new video provided by It Ends With Us star Justin Baldoni. Baldoni's team has produced a clip from set in order to provide evidence that the actor did not behave inappropriately with Lively.

The Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama refuses to die down. After Lively accused producer and It Ends With Us co-star of harassment, Baldoni sued her team for wrongful claims which sought to destroy his reputation. In the latest turn of events, Baldoni has released a footage from the set which shows the actors interacting during a segment of the film.

Baldoni's team said that the actor was professional and immediately stopped interacting once the scene was cut. However, Lively's team said that the clip instead shows that Baldoni was trying to cross professional boundaries by "attempting to kiss her, and was talking with her out of character."

The statement from Lively read, "Justin Baldoni and his lawyer may hope that this latest stunt will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning. Every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her complaint. The video shows Mr Baldoni repeatedly leaning in toward Ms Lively, attempting to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells, and talking with her out of character."

"Every moment of this was improvised by Mr Baldoni with no discussion or consent in advance, and no intimacy coordinator present. They will recognise her attempts at levity to try to deflect the unwanted touching. No woman should have to take defensive measures to avoid being touched by their employer without their consent. This matter is in active litigation in federal court. Releasing this video to the media, rather than presenting it as evidence in court, is another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public. It is also a continuation of their harassment and retaliatory campaign," read the rest of the statement.

For the unversed, the said sequence in the clip features Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni dancing in a bar, where they are seen exchanging some conversation in between shots.

It Ends With Us is a romantic drama which starred Bladoni and Lively in lead roles. It is based on the 2016 novel by writer Colleen Hoover.
