Actor Kartik Aaryan has praised the Hollywood supernatural horror film Obsession on social media, calling it one of the best horror films he has seen in a long time. The actor’s endorsement comes as the supernatural psychological thriller continues to draw attention among horror viewers.

Kartik Aaryan praises Curry Barker's Obsession

Sharing his reaction online, Kartik said he was obsessed with the film and urged fans not to miss it. His post has added to the buzz surrounding Obsession, especially as Kartik is no stranger to the horror-comedy genre, having also featured in Anees Bazmee's horror comedies Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) and and 3 (2024).

Recommending the film to fans, Kartik said Obsession is "one of the best horror films after a very long time (sic)." He added, "Absolutely obsessed with #Obsession. Don’t miss this one (sic)."

Kartik Aaryan's evolution as Rooh Baba

Kartik previously headlined Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in 2022, playing Ruhan Randhawa, popularly known as Rooh Baba. He later reprised the character in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in 2024, where he once again found himself dealing with supernatural mysteries and the presence of Manjulika.

Written, directed and edited by Curry Barker in his theatrical directorial debut, Obsession is a supernatural psychological horror film centred on Bear, a shy music store employee played by Michael Johnston. The story takes a dark turn when Bear acquires a mysterious supernatural toy capable of granting wishes.

Hoping to win the affection of his childhood friend and co-worker Nikki, portrayed by Inde Navarrette, Bear uses the toy to make his dream come true. However, the wish unleashes terrifying consequences, sending the narrative into increasingly disturbing territory. The film also features Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter in important supporting roles.
