Ikkis premiere: Salman Khan emotional over Dharmendra, Rekha kisses Agastya's poster

The special screening of Ikkis in Mumbai turned deeply emotional as Salman Khan paid tribute to Dharmendra, while Rekha warmly welcomed debutant Agastya Nanda. The film will hit theatres on January 1, 2026.

The screening of Ikkis in Mumbai on Monday saw an emotional moment when Salman Khan stopped in front of Dharmendra’s poster and appeared visibly moved. Rekha also drew attention at the event with a warm gesture for debutant Agastya Nanda.

Salman Khan, who shared a close bond with Dharmendra, was seen standing quietly before the late actor’s poster as photographers captured the moment. The actor, who recently turned 60, appeared emotional during the brief pause.

Rekha arrived at the screening dressed in a light green and gold saree. She greeted Agastya Nanda’s poster by kissing the frame before posing for the cameras. Agastya plays the lead in Ikkis.

Dharmendra’s sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, were also present at the special screening to mark their father’s final on-screen appearance.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, and focuses on his role in the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The film stars Agastya Nanda alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia.

Ikkis is scheduled to release in theatres on January 1, 2026, and marks Dharmendra’s last film appearance.
