Ranabaali receives mixed reviews

Despite crossing the Rs 50 crore worldwide mark, Ranabaali has received a mixed response from audiences. Several social media users have criticised its slow narration and the handling of portions set during British rule. Rashmika Mandanna's accent has also drawn criticism from some viewers.

However, a section of the audience has praised Vijay Deverakonda's performance, with positive reactions highlighting his screen presence and the Jayamma track. The divided response has made the film's box-office trajectory worth watching as it moves beyond its opening weekend.

All about Ranabaali

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali stars Vijay Deverakonda in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Arnold Vosloo. Set in 19th-century India during British colonial rule, the historical action drama follows a man described as a “Savage” who rises against British authority.

The film brings Vijay and Rashmika together on screen in a period drama centred on resistance and colonial oppression. Its performance in the coming days will determine whether the film can sustain its worldwide momentum amid the mixed audience response.
