When asked if Jaden Smith was the inspiration behind the song, she denied it with a laugh, stating, "No, it’s not about Jaden Smith. He’s a good friend though. Hi, Jaden. Miss you a lot." She also denied ever dating Jaden Smith, which the test corroborated.

Rumours about Rose and Jaden Smith began after the release of her 2024 studio album Rosie. The actor, known for his role in The Karate Kid, and his sister, Willow Smith, share a warm friendship with the Blackpink members, having been seen together at events like Coachella. Despite the ongoing speculations, Rose has remained private about her past relationships, only addressing them through her music.
