Shah Rukh Khan has expressed his excitement about the upcoming film Raaka, directed by Atlee and starring Allu Arjun. The first look poster and the film's title were unveiled on Arjun's birthday, Wednesday, April 8. Shah Rukh, who previously collaborated with Atlee on the action film Jawan, shared his enthusiasm on his X account.
Sharing the poster of Raaka, Shah Rukh wrote, "Happy Birthday @alluarjun the poster is intriguing and amazing just like you are. Can’t wait to see what you guys have put together. This experience will be in Atlee’s words - Mass masss massss!! #Raaka looks so exciting, all the best!!"

The poster features Arjun covering his face with a clawed hand while looking directly into the camera. He sports kohl-lined eyes, a receding hairline, and a thick, greying moustache and beard. Many online viewers have noted the resemblance to Karthi’s look in Kaashmora.
Atlee shared on his X account to share his thoughts on the film, describing Raaka as more than just a movie. He said, "Raaka isn’t just a film it’s a part of me I’ve carried for years. For 18 years, I held on to one idea, never letting it fade." He added, "It tested me, shaped me, and stayed with me through everything. And honestly this is just the beginning."
Raaka is directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures. The film also features Deepika Padukone in a leading role and is expected to be released in 2027.
The collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee on Jawan was a commercial success and earned Shah Rukh his first National Award for Best Actor. In a 2023 interview with Hindustan Times, Atlee reflected on working with Shah Rukh, saying, "I learnt a lot from Khan sir, by being patient, getting everything right, taking the film to the next level. Shah Rukh sir has taught me to raise the bar. My next film will have even better energy and we'll make something bigger than Jawan."
Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan will next appear in King, which also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone.
