Akshay Kumar wishes Priyadarshan on birthday with a pic from Bhooth Bangla sets

Akshay Kumar shared a heartfelt birthday wish for director Priyadarhan. The two have reunited again for their upcoming film, Bhooth Bangla.

Actor Akshay Kumar wished director Priyadarshan on his 68th birthday today. The two have reunited after a long gap of 14 years for their upcoming horror-comedy film, Bhooth Bangla. On the special occasion, Akshay shared a picture of the two on social media along with a heartfelt note.

“Happy Birthday, Priyan Sir! What better way to celebrate than by spending the day on a haunted set, surrounded by ghosts...both real and unpaid extras? Thank you for being a mentor, and the only person who can make chaos look like a masterpiece. May your day be filled with fewer retakes. Wishing you a fantastic year ahead (sic),” Akshay’s note on X read.

The picture of the two is from the sets of Bhooth Bangla.

This is not the first time that Akshay and Priyadarshan have collaborated on a project. The duo have created some of the most loved films of all time. They have worked together on hits, like Bhagam Bhag, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, De Dana Dan and more.

Other than Akshay, the film will also feature Tabu in a key role.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar's production house, Cape of Good Films. The film is co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali. The story is written by Akash A Kaushik and the screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan. The dialogues are by Rohan Shankar.

Bhooth Bangla is slated to release in theatres on April 2, 2026.
