Actor Sidharth Malhotra has shared a personal update on social media, offering fans a brief glimpse of a recent leg injury. The post was light in tone, but it came at a time when he and wife Kiara Advani have also been sharing a series of updates from their family life.

The actor did not explain what happened or how he was injured. His post arrived just days after he and Kiara announced that they are expecting their second child, and shortly after Kiara shared moments from a family holiday with their daughter, Saraayah.

Sidharth posted a picture on his Instagram Story showing his leg fitted with a medical walking boot. Alongside it, he wrote, “I took ‘break a leg’ too seriously,” with a hospital emoji. He did not reveal how he sustained the injury and did not share further details about his condition.

Pregnancy announcement days earlier

His update came soon after he and Kiara shared news of her pregnancy in a joint social media post. The couple wrote, “Blessed once again with the greatest gift of all. Our hearts are so full of love and gratitude (sic).”

Recently, Kiara also shared a set of pictures with glimpses from a holiday with Sidharth and their daughter, Saraayah. She kept her daughter’s face hidden, but shared a glimpse of the little one’s tiny feet during a beach outing. One picture showed Kiara by a pool, while another captured the family’s footprints in the sand. The pictures offered a quiet look at their time away together.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani reportedly fell in love while working together on the 2021 film Shershaah. In the film, Sidharth played Captain Vikram Batra, while Kiara portrayed his partner, Dimple Cheema. The film brought them together on screen and became a significant milestone in their relationship.

The couple married on February 7, 2023, in a ceremony at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. They welcomed their daughter, Saraayah, in July 2025 and announced in October 2026 that they were expecting their second child.

Latest film release

Sidharth’s latest film, The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest, was directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra. The film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia and follows a folk-inspired story rooted in Indian mythology. It released in theatres on September 25.
