Ram Gopal Varma's Satya recently re-released in theatres. On that occasion, he shared a long note on X, confessing that he got 'drunk' on success after the film turned blockbuster and achieved a cult status. In the same note, he mentioned, "Finally now i took a vow that whatever little of my life is left, I want to spend it sincerely and create something as worthy as SATYA and this truth I swear on SATYA."

Syndicate seems to be a culmination of Ram Gopal Varma's vow to himself.
