Deepika Padukone is in the news once again after social media users pointed out that her name was removed from the end credits of 'Kalki 2898 AD'. This follows her exit from the second part of 'Kalki' owing to creative differences. Padukone's fans called the production house, Vyjayanthi Movies, petty and unprofessional.

After severe backlash on social media, it now appears that her name has been added to the end credits below Amitabh Bachchan's name. Previously, a few fans shared the screen recording of the end credits, where Deepika Padukone's name was missing.

A few users pointed out that Deepika Padukone's name was intact in the Hindi and Telugu versions. A fanpage of the 'Piku' actor claimed that the makers have added her name to the credits after the social media backlash.

However, it is unclear whether this was a technical glitch or an old video or a deliberate attempt after Vyjayanthi Movies announced Deepika Padukone's exit from 'Kalki 2898 AD'.

In September, the production house shared a salty post, which seemingly questioned Deepika Padukone's commitment.

Their post read, "This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works (sic)."

Deepika Padukone essayed the role of SUM-80 aka Sumathi, the prophesied mother of Kalki and a lab subject of Project K in director Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD'.

Earlier this year, Deepika Padukone opted out of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Spirit', starring Prabhas after reportedly demanding an eight-hour work schedule. Her exit from 'Spirit' and 'Kalki 2' reignited social media debate about fixed working hours.
