Sunny Deol's 'Jaat' has entered its third weekend at the box office. The film has performed well so far, despite the release and decent performance of 'Kesari Chapter 2'. After its second Thursday, the film stands at Rs 80.75 crore nett, and is looking at achieving a difficult benchmark of Rs 100 crore. Difficult, because of all the new releases hitting the screens this weekend.

Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film collected around Rs 1.25 crore nett on Thursday. The Friday collection, which would have been higher if the film was running solo in theatres, is likely to remain in the same range. 'Jaat' will continue to push for the Rs 100 crore benchmark, though.

'Jaat' has already emerged as one of the most successful films in Deol's career. It is also one of the biggest films in Randeep Hooda and Vineet Kumar Siingh's resumes. The film faced a controversy due to a scene which allegedly hurt the religious sentiments of the Christian community, but that didn't have any major impact on its earnings.

It will be interesting to see how 'Jaat' continues to stand its ground at the box office with the release of 'Ground Zero' and 'Phule' in theatres.
