Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan praised Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, calling it a game-changer for Indian cinema. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the film has been unstoppable at the box office, drawing praise for pushing creative boundaries. Sharing his reaction after watching the film, Roshan described it as a cinematic milestone and highlighted its impact on storytelling in the industry.
On Friday, Roshan expressed his admiration for the film and its bold vision on X.
“I just watched Aditya Dhar’s historic Dhurandhar, and it is a reminder to all of us filmmakers to pause and reset the fabric of cinema with the vision, passion and audacity with which Aditya has made Dhurandhar (sic)," he wrote.
The filmmaker further emphasized that the film’s massive success should not intimidate others in the industry, instead describing it as a positive and much-needed shift. He added that it should be seen not as a threat but as a healthy revolution in storytelling and entertainment, noting that the change was long overdue.
He also said that Aditya Dhar had delivered beyond expectations, while extending his good wishes and support to the filmmaker.
