Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's Telugu drama Game Changer struggled at the box office on its first Monday. The film, which hit theatres on Friday with an impressive opening day collection of Rs 51 crore, has since seen a steady decline in earnings.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, S Shankar’s Game Changer earned Rs 8.50 crore on Monday, taking its total nett box office collection in India to Rs 97 crore after four days. Despite an Rs 88.5 crore weekend, the film has yet to cross the Rs 100 crore mark.

  • Day 1: Rs 51 crore
  • Day 2: Rs 21.6 crore
  • Day 3: Rs 17 crore
  • Day 4: Rs 8.5 crore
  • Total: Rs 97 crore

Game Changer recorded a 20.58 per cent occupancy in Telugu markets on Monday, with the highest footfall during evening shows. Its performance has been largely disappointing, as it is being compared to Ram Charan's previous release, the record-breaking RRR.

The film's box office journey is expected to face further challenges, given the strong competition from Sankranti releases such as Venkatesh-starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam and Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaaj. While the producers claim that Game Changer has grossed Rs 200 crore worldwide, trade analysts remain sceptical about the figure.

Directed by Shankar and written by Karthik Subbaraj, Game Changer is a socio-political thriller where Ram Charan plays dual roles as father and son. The ensemble cast includes Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Jayaram, and Sunil in pivotal roles.

The film, produced on a massive Rs 450 crore budget by Sri Venkateswara Creations, has yet to live up to its grand expectations.
