Actor Samantha's latest film Maa Inti Bangaaram closed its opening weekend with a strong Day 3 at the box office. On Sunday, the film collected an India net of Rs 10.10 crore across 2,965 shows, taking its total India gross to Rs 26.69 crore and total India net to Rs 23.10 crore. Overseas, it collected Rs 4.00 crore on Day 3, pushing its total overseas gross to Rs 15.10 crore and its worldwide gross to Rs 41.79 crore.

The film showed steady growth through its first weekend. It opened with an India net of Rs 5.35 crore on Friday from 2,658 shows with 31.9 per cent occupancy. On Saturday, it collected Rs 7.63 crore from 2,591 shows with 44.6 per cent occupancy. On Sunday, the film posted its highest single-day India net so far at Rs 10.10 crore, with occupancy rising to 53.4 per cent.

The overall figures after the first weekend stand at Rs 23.10 crore in India net collections and Rs 26.69 crore in India gross collections. The overseas gross collection stands at Rs 15.10 crore, while the worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 41.79 crore.

In the language-wise breakdown, Telugu contributed Rs 9.50 crore with 61 per cent occupancy across 2,341 shows, while Tamil contributed Rs 0.60 crore with 25 per cent occupancy across 624 shows.

Hyderabad had the highest number of Telugu shows at 501, with 79.3 per cent occupancy, followed by Bengaluru with 326 shows and Vizag-Visakhapatnam with 119. Chennai had the highest number of Tamil 2D shows at 121, with 33.5 per cent occupancy, followed by Coimbatore with 48 and Salem with 29.

Maa Inti Bangaaram is set in a traditional household and follows a woman with a hidden past who struggles to find acceptance. When danger from her former life resurfaces, she must protect the family that doubts her without revealing the truth. The film is directed by Nandini Reddy and is based on a story created by Raj Nidimoru. It was released on June 19.

The supporting cast includes Diganth, Gulshan Devaiah, Gautami, Manjusha and Sreemukhi in key roles. The film also marks Samantha’s return to Telugu cinema in a lead role after Kushi.
