Babar Azam returns as Pakistan’s test captain ahead of series against West Indies

New Delhi: The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) has appointed Babar Azam as Pakistan’s test new captain and announced the squad for the series.

This comes following Shan Masood’s removal as captain and Babar Azam’s return to the team.

Babar Azam will be on the field with his captaincy role in two days test series against the West Indies as Pakistan. The test match against West Indies will take place in Tarouba for the first Test from July 25.

As per reports, as Babur returns it is expected that the team will have some improvements and it could be interesting to see how the side fares.

This change comes after three years. The previous skipper Shan Masood has led 16 Test matches and lost 12 of them.

The skipper change development decision was made after keeping in mind the Pakistani team’s performance in the format.
