The Akshay Kumar-led action-comedy Welcome to the Jungle has crossed a major global milestone, breaching the ₹100 crore mark worldwide in just four days. The film pulled in a steady stream of ticket sales over its first few days in theaters to bring its total international gross to ₹106.48 crore.

Despite crossing the global milestone, the movie encountered a familiar weekday slump on its first Monday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, daily collections dropped to single digits, pulling in ₹8.50 crore on Day 4. This brought its total net domestic collection in India to ₹72.25 crore, down from a strong opening weekend haul of ₹63.75 crore. The decline was an overall domestic theater occupancy of 20.90% across 10,922 shows on Monday, with evening and night shows performing relatively better at 22.69% and 28.62% respectively. Regionally, the Delhi-NCR circuit logged a 24.5% occupancy across 985 shows, while Mumbai saw 21.8% occupancy over 775 shows.

In light of varying speculations about the production cost, director Ahmed Khan clarified that the multi-starrer adventure comedy was completed within a controlled budget of ₹125 crore. Khan dismissed rumours of a huge price tag of ₹250 crore to ₹300 crore, saying they had not overshot their expenses even with an ensemble cast of more than 30 mainstream actors, extensive action sets and six musical tracks. This budget control will be important for the long term profitability of the film, especially with the big box-office competition looming on the horizon in the form of director Shiv Rawail’s upcoming film Alpha, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, and other upcoming big-ticket releases.
