‘End of an era!’ Sudarsan Pattnaik pays tributes to Virat Kohli on his retirement from Test cricket

Puri: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Monday joined the entire countrymen to express his gratitude to Virat Kohli for his contribution to India through his illustrious 14-year Test cricket career.

Pattnaik created a sand sculpture on Puri sea beach on the occasion of Kohli’s retirement from the Test cricket today. His sculpture featured a stunning image of ‘King Kohli’ surrounded by 14 sand cricket bats, symbolizing each year of his Test career.

Later, the veteran sand artist shared a photo of the magnificent sand sculpture on his X handle. “We salute #ViratKohli through our Sand Art at Puri beach for his 14-year journey that changed #Testcricket forever. #ViratKohli bids goodbye to Test cricket, leaving behind an unmatched legacy . #KingKohli #TestCricket #ViratKohli,” he captioned the image.

It is to be noted here that Kohli earlier today announced his retirement from the longest format of the game having played 123 matches. He has scored 9230 runs which include 30 centuries and 31 fifties and many other memorable innings across a superb career.
