Bhubaneswar: Famed directed Himansu Sekhar Khatua’s ‘The Sea And Seven Villages’ got the National Film Awards today. It got award in the the Non-Feature category (Special Mention) along with ‘Nekal Chronicle Of The Paddy Man,’ a Malayalam film produced and Directed by MK Ramadas.
‘The Sea And Seven Villages,’ is produced by Dr. Iti Samanta, the Editor of Kadambini, and presented by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT-KISS-KIMS under the banner of Kadambini Media, shows a realistic picture of how the impact of climate change has affected Satabhaya in Kendrapara district of Odisha.
Meanwhile, congratulatory messages poured in for the entire team of ‘The Sea And Seven Villages’ for getting National Film Award. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took to his X handle to congratulate the Khatua and his team.

Likewise, Odisha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Naveen Patnaik also expressed his heartiest congratulations. This is a matter of joy and pride for the entire Odisha, he opined.
