Arijit Singh cancels Chennai Concert as a tribute to victims after Pahalgam terror attack

Singer Arijit Singh has cancelled his upcoming concert which was going to be held in Chennai on Sunday, April 27. This decision has been taken in wake of the terror attack in Pahalgam. The move comes as a gesture of solidarity and a tribute to the victims during this difficult time.
The deadly terror attack happened on April 22, 2025. The attack claimed lives of 26 people injuring several others.
The event organisers have put up a note saying, “IMPORTANT UPDATE. In light of the recent and tragic events, the organisers, along with the artist, have collectively made the decision to cancel the upcoming show scheduled to happen in Chennai this Sunday, April 27th. All ticket holders will receive full refunds, and the amount will be automatically refunded back to you original mode of payment (sic).”
Earlier the singer received backlash from the fans for recording a song for the film ‘Abir Gulaal’. The movie is starred by Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. He has been credited as the singer for the song, ‘Khudaya Ishq’ .
Composer Anirudh Ravichander has also halted his Bengaluru concert in the wake of terrorist attack. The event was scheduled for June 1. But, the organisers have decided to postpone it to another date due to the current situation.
Several actors from the Bollywood have expressed their shock and anger over the tragic attack.
