Alia Bhatt official changes her name to Alia Bhatt Kapoor

Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt has officially changed her name to Alia Bhatt Kapoor. This change has come two years after her marriage to actor Ranbir Kapoor.

According to reports, in the trailer of  ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2’, the actor revealed that she has added the ‘Kapoor’ to her name. The actor was on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2’ for the promotion of her new movie ‘Jigra’

On September 5, Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt shared the first poster of her upcoming film Jigra, co-starring actor Vedang Raina, who made his Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.

The caption of the poster read, “Tu mere protection mein hai” (You are in my protection), implying that Alia Bhatt would be seen playing a protective elder sister in the Vasan Bala directorial.

The movie is slated for release on October 11. It is directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma productions in collaboration with Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions.

It marks Alia and Vasan’s first on-screen collaboration. Earlier this month, the makers of Jigraannounced the new release date of the film. The film was earlier supposed to be released on September 27, 2024, but the release date was shifted to October 11.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will be seen next in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film after Jigra starring Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt.
