Directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière, this new adaptation of the iconic French revenge tale received 14 nominations, including Best Film and Best Director. The film, starring Pierre Niney, outpaced Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez, which earned 12 nominations, and Gilles Lellouche’s Beating Hearts, a modern Romeo and Juliet retelling, which garnered 13.
