BBC confirm special live show as Oasis Live 25 kicks off in Cardiff
by Stephanie Colderick, Dan Laurie · BristolLiveOasis mania has swept across the UK, and with their eagerly awaited reunion gigs in Cardiff on the horizon, the BBC has revealed plans for a special livestream event.
The broadcast will be live from Cardiff, coinciding with the Gallagher brothers' much-anticipated comeback this weekend.
The programme will be presented by Welsh host Jason Mohammad alongside Tina Daheley, who is recognised for her role filling in on Jeremy Vine's BBC Radio 2 show.
The broadcast location will be set against the backdrop of the Principality Stadium.
Entitled Oasis: Countdown to the Comeback, the show is scheduled to kick off at 1pm on Friday, July 4.
While the show won't feature live footage of the concert inside the Principality Stadium, it promises viewers a blend of exclusive interviews with special guests and reports from journalists mingling with fans throughout the city.
Post-concert, the show will capture immediate reactions and live critiques as the buzz carries on into the evening, reports Wales Online.
Jason shared his excitement for the upcoming live show on his Instagram story, commenting: "As a Cardiff boy and @oasis fan so looking forward to this show with @tinadaheley.
"See you Friday" and included an okay hand gesture emoji.
Liam Gallagher recently clarified to his followers that it wasn't him they overheard during a soundcheck at the Principality Stadium on Monday, June 30.
In what seems to be a tongue-in-cheek admission, Liam indicated that the soundchecks, which had fans convinced they heard him belting out Cigarettes and Alcohol as the sun shone over the venue, were not the work of the renowned siblings.
Liam has now responded to a clip of the soundchecks, commenting on X: "Mmm I'm not sure about the vocals there too aggressive he really needs to take a chill pill man he's just so angry all the time I don't know who he thinks he is as far as I'm concerned he's just a bigmouth from up north".
When a fan asked him to clarify if it was indeed him rehearsing, Liam quipped: "I've been in my pool all day doing under water farts so it's defo a recording from rehearsals unless there's 2 of me which I'm absolutely 1 million per cent here for well there for as well".
