Update:

Good news! After initially appearing in the 'leaving soon' section of the Game Pass app on mobile, console, and PC, Warhammer: 40,000 Darktide has now been removed, so it looks like first-person shooter will remain in the service for the foreseeable.

Microsoft's latest Game Pass announcement also does not list Darktide in the games leaving Game Pass soon.

Original Story:
While we wait for Microsoft to announce the next load of new games coming to Game Pass, the second wave of games leaving Xbox Game Pass in September 2024 has now been revealed. Gotham Knights, Let's Build a Zoo, Loop Hero, My Time at Portia, Paw: Patrol Grand Prix, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Valheim, The Walking Dead (Windows), and The Walking Dead: Season Two (Windows) all leave Game Pass on September 30.

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on September 30

For those after some easy Gamerscore, you'll want to jump into The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: Season Two on PC. Both games can be completed in roughly ten hours, and if you need them, we do have a The Walking Dead walkthrough and a The Walking Dead: Season Two walkthrough.

While you can earn a bunch of Gamerscore easily in Paw Patrol: Grand Prix, the completion does ask that you complete a four-player split-screen race, which is a pain if you don't have four controllers. Check out the Paw Patrol: Grand Prix walkthrough for more on the completion.

Game Pass subscribers who have around 30 hours to spare will want to jump into the excellent courtroom adventure series Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy. The completion here will take between 30 and 35 hours, according to estimates. If you need a helping hand with the 1,000G, make sure you check out our Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy walkthrough.

In the 50-hour completion estimate bracket, we have both Gotham Knights and Loop Hero. Both games will take between 40 and 50 hours to beat, though if you want the full Gotham Knights completion with its DLC packs, it'll take around 60-ish hours.

As for the management sim Let's Build a Zoo, the 1,000G base-list completion is estimated to take between 60 and 80 hours. Thankfully, we have an excellent Let's Build a Zoo walkthrough that details how to pop each achievement.

If you're yet to start either My Time at Portia or Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, you'll want to jump into these games as soon as possible. Both titles have lengthy completion estimates, with My Time at Portia taking between 80 and 100 hours (check out the My Time at Portia walkthrough for more) and Darktide between 120 and 150 hours. The Darktide completion is no joke either, with a bunch of difficulty-specific achievements and another achievement for completing 100 missions without being downed standing in your way of the 1,000G.

Finally, we come to the Valheim, which does not have any achievements to worry about as it's still in Game Preview.

As for new games joining the service, the next iteration of Train Sim World is now available with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
