Yet another excellent announcement from the ID@Xbox showcase is the news that Tanuki: Pon's Summer will join Xbox Game Pass on day one later this year.

Tanuki: Pon's Summer has now been confirmed for Game Pass. The news came as part of the ID@Xbox Showcase, which confirmed that we'll be unlocking the Tanuki: Pon's Summer achievements when the open-world adventure sim game arrives later this year. There's no specific release date yet, but we'll add it to the list of upcoming Game Pass games!

In Tanuki: Pon's Summer, we play as Pon himself; a delivery tanuki working to earn enough money to restore the Great Tanuki God's shrine before the Tanuki Festival begins. Poor Pon is described as a bit lazy, but with a part-time job at the Post Office, he's in with a chance to deliver enough packages to achieve his goal.
This will involve a fair amount of BMX wizardry, but invitations from the townsfolk will be enough of a distraction to ensure he's also busy making friends. He'll be making sushi, playing sports, and, of course, delivering mail.
