Primetime Emmy Awards Reveal 2026 Winners (Updating Live)

It’s a historic Primetime Emmys night for broadcaster NBC this evening, as the TV network continues to celebrate 100 years. But it’s also an elegiac Emmys for a number of series we’re saying goodbye to: “Hacks,” “Euphoria,” and “Stranger Things” among them.

It’s been a huge year for HBO Max, with “Hacks” and “The Pitt,” the most-nominated drama series at 25 nods. “Hacks,” meanwhile, has 24 Primetime Emmy nominations — the most ever for a single season of a comedy in the same year. The 24,000-member TV Academy can be tricky to predict, but IndieWire has you covered on the prognostication front with our predictions for this year.

Other nominated series tonight include favorites like “The Gilded Age,” “The Diplomat,” “Slow Horses,” and more on the drama front, along with new drama series like “Pluribus.” On the comedy side, old standards like “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear,” and “Shrinking” are joined by “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” “Widow’s Bay,” and more newcomers that ruled the conversation this year.

The 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards take place on Monday, September 14, live on NBC at 8:00 p.m. ET/ 5:00 p.m. PT. “Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay will serve as host of the awards ceremony.
