GK Barry has shone a light on the health struggles she's faced, just days before her stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle kicks off. The 25-year-old influencer said that she's had a rough time recently, but remains committed as she heads down under for the 2024 series.

Humorously looking back on the past few weeks, Grace explained why she was given no option but to miss the Pride Of Britain Awards after-party. According to the Daily Record, she said: "I've been so ill to the point where my manager got me a drip.

"Have you ever heard anything like it? It's giving LA. She said, 'This is enough now you're actually on the verge of death'." Seeking medical assistance upon finding pus in her throat, Barry was prescribed antibiotics to tackle her tonsillitis.

However, the situation seemed to escalate even further, as she then encountered gut troubles while preparing for a live appearance on Loose Women. Grace's manager advised that she take a drip to get back on track.

Speaking on her podcast, Saving Grace, she went on: "I thought I'd get the drip and be like, 'Let's do the London marathon', we did the drip and I went for a nap. How does that work? So yeah I wouldn't suggest it."

Despite her recent health hazards, Grace is focusing on recovery and nutrition to ensure she can handle the jungle's dietary challenges. The star's terrified of what the ITV show might bring, confessing she hates animals, flying, sleeping outside and not having a phone on hand.

She added: "Physically, I've been feeding myself up though because my manager was like 'you're not lasting'... You get I think it's like 600 calories a day, she was like you need to eat up so you've got s**t to burn.

"So I've been eating everything, creams, Chinese take-out, I've been acting like I'm on death throw actually."

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! kicks off Sunday at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
