Amanda Holden has candidly discussed seeing early relationship warning signs with ex-husband Les Dennis when their romance first blossomed.

The Britain's Got Talent star, who tied the knot with the former Coronation Street actor in 1995 before parting ways after eight years, reflected on her past in her 2013 memoir 'No Holding Back'.

In the autobiography, she reveals the intense scrutiny she faced while being associated with Les, stating: "From day one, though, I felt as if no one else understood and that all eyes were on me for being with him."

She delves into detail about adjusting to the fame that came with dating a popular entertainer, well-known by the public for his television appearances and pantomime performances.

"Les was a successful family entertainer and well liked by the public," Amanda penned. "As well as appearing in prime-time TV shows, and end-of-the-pier farces, he'd been on the Christmas pantomime circuit for years.", reports the Mirror.

Commenting on her own anonymity at the time, she added: "Everyone seemed to love him and he was often recognised in the street. I'd never experienced fame before."

Their relationship ignited backstage at The Sound of Music in Bournemouth's Pavilion Theatre, quickly leading from a few dates to marriage in June 1995.

The relationship between Amanda and Les was severely tested in 2000 due to Amanda's highly publicised affair with actor Neil Morrissey during their time on the set of BBC's drama Happy Birthday Shakespeare. The couple took a break before officially ending their marriage in 2003.

Since then, both have discovered new happiness in love. Les met Claire Nicholson in 2005, with whom he later married and had two children, according to Bristol Live.

On the other hand, Amanda wed record producer Chris Hughes in 2008, and together they've raised two children, Alexa "Lexi" Louise Florence and Hollie Rose.

Aside from her romantic endeavours, Amanda has carved out a successful career in broadcasting over the past twenty years, known not just for her role on Britain's Got Talent but also as a host of This Morning and Heart breakfast radio alongside Jamie Theakston.

Amanda is making another television appearance tonight on 'Amanda and Alan's Spanish Job', where she teams up with comedian Alan Carr to tackle the challenge of renovating dilapidated properties in southern Spain.
