ITV I'm A Celebrity star Maura Higgins 'to rake in £1.5million' after jungle exit
by Sam Dimmer, Bradley Jolly · NottinghamshireLiveMaura Higgins, the former Love Island star who celebrated her 34th birthday on Monday, is tipped to be a frontrunner in this year's I'm A Celeb and could bag herself £1.5million in brand deals after the show. Currently at 6/1 to win the ITV show with some betting agencies, Maura has quickly become one of the favourites.
Insiders suggest she has lucrative telly and branding deals awaiting her once the ITV series concludes. A source connected to Maura commented: "Beauty brands, fashion labels and TV execs in the UK and US are already queuing up to work with her. She's had some incredible offers. This next chapter is going to be huge for her. She's excited about the opportunities coming her way."
Known for her forthright language on Love Island, which hasn't been toned down for the jungle, Maura has earned commendations from campmates, particularly after sharing how she dealt with a cheating ex-partner. Her straightforward views seem to be drawing attention from top fashion and beauty companies, including Mac cosmetics, who are reportedly eager to collaborate with her.
According to The Sun, Maura joined fellow latecomer Reverend Richard Coles, 62, in the Jungle Junkyard before they integrated into the main camp. Since their arrival, these two have brought fresh excitement to the camp and recently completed a Bushtucker Trial together on Saturday, reports the Mirror.
In the latest episode, contestants faced the daunting first eating trial of the series, dubbed the Terrifying Teddy Bear's Picnic. A clearly unsettled Maura looked to Richard and said, "Father, can we say a prayer please? ".
Afterwards, tensions seemed to arise as the group made their way to the main camp, with new sleeping arrangements causing a stir among the campmates, according to reports. With a fresh bed and hammock up for grabs, McFly's Danny Jones was quick to abandon his hammock, prompting Jane Moore to comment, "It's Lord of The Flies, if you're newcomers you get the worst beds."
