Alison Hammond makes Celebrity Gogglebox debut tonight with rarely-seen sister

Celebrity Gogglebox is set to welcome a new addition to its line-up for tonight's show, as This Morning favourite Alison Hammond joins the 2025 series. It's a debut appearance for the presenter on the popular Channel 4 programme, where celebrities react to the week's most talked-about television.

Channel 4 has confirmed that Alison will feature in this evening's episode, alongside her sister Saundra and son Aidan, with whom she presented BBC Two's Florida Unpacked. Alison expressed her enthusiasm, stating: "I'm so excited to be doing Celebrity Gogglebox with my son Aidan. We've always loved watching telly together, and now we get to do it on the sofa for the nation!".

She added: "It's a real family affair too, because my fabulous sister Saundra is getting involved as well. Expect laughs, eye-rolls, and lots of commentary, classic Hammond style!".

News of Alison's participation in Celebrity Gogglebox emerged in May, hinting at her and her son's upcoming involvement in the show.

The current run of Celebrity Gogglebox has featured personalities such as Paddy McGuinness, Vernon Kay, Clare Balding, Rylan Clark, Nick Grimshaw, and others sharing their views on the week's television highlights, reports the Mirror.

Despite the excitement surrounding the series' commencement last month, some viewers voiced disappointment, suggesting that the reactions from certain celebrities seemed overly "forced".

One viewer expressed their exasperation with the show, tweeting: "Not the dreaded celebrities again, so many of them are so annoying #Celebritygogglebox," while another shared their disappointment: "Celebrity Gogglebox just isn't funny like the original, it feels forced! #gogglebox #Celebritygogglebox."

Vicky Pattison has joined this year's Celebrity Gogglebox lineup with her good mate Pete Wicks. The ex-Geordie Shore personality discussed the experience of filming during the scorching weather on Angela Scanlon's podcast.

Vicky remarked: "We're done. It's in the bag. Last one is this week so make sure you tune in. I can't promise any feminist rants. I was sweating me t**s off."

She continued to describe the sweltering conditions: "It was 40 degrees in my front room trying to do that the other day, and obviously, with the heatwave we've been having this week, it's been f*****g savage. Yeah, literally swamp gusset galore."

This season of Celebrity Gogglebox also welcomed Rag'n'Bone Man to the sofa, as he made his debut on reality TV.
