Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Estimated File Size Revealed
Not long to go now
by Liam Doolan · Nintendo LifeNintendo's Fire Emblem series is back next with the arrival of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave exclusively on the Switch 2.
If you're planning on picking up the game digitally, you'll need to make sure you've got enough space on your system to install it. According to Nintendo's official eShop listing, the estimated file size for this new entry, transporting players to the Dagdan Empire, will require 29.5GB of space. Keep in mind Nintendo's first-party titles also receive day-one and post-launch updates, which change the file size.
In comparison, Fire Emblem: Three Houses on the Switch requires 11.5GB of space and the other Switch title Fire Emblem Engage is 16.5GB. You can find more about what to expect from the new Fire Emblem game in our preview. Here's a sample with the game launching on 17th September 2026.
"Fortune's Weave is dense, and I have been overwhelmed by its size on more than one occasion, but as I approached the end of the preview section, I could feel myself falling for its complexity. This might just be the ultimate take on the Three Houses formula, and much to my surprise, I'm completely on board with it."
Earlier this week, Nintendo also revealed estimated file sizes for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Metroid Ravenous.

My Switch 2 and storage are already packed to the brim with the upgrades and new games I've been buying. Good to pick up a physical cart for this one.
