In case you missed it, a few upcoming Switch 2 releases will experiment with frame generation to help lift the action to 60fps.

For Dragon's Dogma 2, the game's producer recently revealed there would be a toggle option to turn this feature on or off. Stellar Blade is the other game making use of it, but it was mandatory in the demo, so there is no option to change the setting.

Now, in an update, Shift Up has announced it will add a frame generation toggle to Stellar Blade on release, after hearing feedback about the demo. Here's the message from the company's social media account:

"Thank you to everyone who has played the Stellar Blade Complete Edition demo on Nintendo Switch 2 so far.

"We've been watching your feedback closely and decided to add a Frame Generation toggle at release. We hope this lets you play the way that looks and feels best to you!"

If you haven't already seen it, we've already shared our thoughts about Stellar Blade's use of this technology. The team at Digital Foundry has also discussed the use of frame generation in the Stellar Blade demo during its latest episode of DF Direct.

So, if you had any concerns during the demo, the good news is there will be a toggle when this action title arrives for the Switch 2 on 5th November 2026.
