Tommy Fury has confessed the real reason why he and Molly-Mae Hague have split just days before her Amazon Prime documentary goes live.
The boxer has admitted he has a serious problem with alcohol, confirming that his drinking led to the end of his five-year relationship with the beauty influencer.
In a bombshell interview with MensHealth, the 25-year-old continued to deny he had been unfaithful but explained that he 'couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be' due to his drinking problems.
He said: "All I've been seeing for the past six months is ‘Cheater!’, ‘He slept with me!’, ‘He slept with this girl, he slept with that girl!’
"Complete and utter bollocks. We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink.
"Cheating was never a thing. You can ask Molly this yourself. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing. You need to get a grip of it. If you're in the same spot as me, where you just think that it's going to cure all your problems, it doesn’t.
"You wake up even worse and you want to drink more to try and feel happy again. That's the cycle of it. I've got myself out of that now, but I just wish people would've taken some time out, rather than giving me so much shit every day, to think maybe there was more going on. Not once did anyone ask how I was. I checked my inbox."
He continued: "I’m not looking for sympathy. Whether I do the right thing or do the wrong thing, people are still going to hate me. As long as my family loves me. I just want to do my fights, earn my money, and look after my daughter."
Speaking of his year ahead, he explained his aspirations for 2025 as he said: "I'm going to get back in the ring real soon and I'm going to pick up where I left off. I'm ready to do that now. I've wasted a year already in my life and I'm ready to pick back up and have a great 2025."
Tommy's shock confession comes just days before Molly-Mae Hague's Amazon Prime documentary Molly Mae: Behind It All drops its first three episodes on January 17.
