The Masked Singer was reportedly "thrown into chaos" when a celebrity contestant "stormed off" the stage after being voted out of the competition.
The ITV show, which returned for its new series last weekend, features masked celebrities performing in the launch episodes. However, the next unmasking is said to have occurred after the contestant walked off stage, disappointed about their exit.
These "dramatic scenes" are set to air on Saturday night's episode as reported by the Mirror, with performances from Pufferfish, Bear, Toad in the Hole, Wolf and Bush.
The celebrity contestant, whose identity remains under wraps, is described as a "world-renowned star". A source told the Sun that it was "absolutely bonkers," as the celebrity with the fewest votes usually removes their mask shortly after the result, speaks to the panel and performs again without their mask.
However, this character turned around and shuffled off stage, leaving everyone stunned. The source added that it created "even more" intrigue for the audience to discover who was behind the undisclosed mask.
The outlet reported that insiders revealed show bosses had to coax a celebrity to complete their performance, while host Joel Dommett kept the audience entertained. One source disclosed the contestant was "basically gutted" about exiting the competition "so soon" into the new series.
The Masked Singer's sixth series kicked off last Saturday with six contestants hitting the stage, and the remaining six showcased their talents in Sunday's episode, which saw two stars revealed.
