The Traitors' Tyler reveals 'secret' strategy he used on BBC show before shock exit

Last night's episode of The Traitors saw the shock exit of Faithful Tyler, whose inability to decide who was a Traitor brought the suspicion of his closest friends on the show.

During the episode broadcast on Thursday (January 9), tensions soared as players delved into their theories about Tyler's loyalties after he seemed indecisive in his accusations. His allies on the show, Leanne and Leon, were among the 12 who ultimately decided to vote for his banishment, reports Wales Online.

Upon leaving the castle, he shared: "I just want to say I love all of you. it's just a game, so just keep going and smash it. I love you. I am a Faithful," which left Livi visibly shaken and tearful as she exited the room.

After his unexpected departure, Tyler opened up about a 'secret' strategy he had employed, which soon unravelled after the early exit of Keith.

"I didn't think I'd ever get banished. I thought the only way I'd ever leave the game was being murdered," Tyler began. "Next thing you know, Leon drops a mini bombshell and puts suspicion on me. I thought that's my mate as well, because I got really close to Leon in there, and obviously Leanne as well. And they were the ones who went for me, then Jake as well. But you know, is what it is."

He then disclosed his strategy to connect with certain contestants in the game, admitting: "I'd decided I'd align myself with the older players. Keith was sat next to me as well at the Round Table. I thought, this is me and Keith and we are going to be the duo I'm going to stick with. The next thing you know, walk in next morning, he's been murdered."

Before entering the show, Tyler revealed his intentions for the prize money, which currently totals £29,500.

"One hundred per cent buy my own barbershop. I love my barbering, that's my pride and joy," he said. "I wake up in the morning and where some people might dread having to go to work, I can't wait to get there and just start talking to people, cutting people's hair, making them look good and that makes me feel good.

"It's the best thing I've ever done. I've been doing it for five years now. It's the best decision I've ever made in my life."
